Liu Wei Received his Ph.D. in Sociology in Department of Sociology, Tsinghua University. He is an Assistant Professor whose  research focuses on topics in historical sociology, economic sociology, and sociological theory. His recent studies are as follows: (1) the historical sociology in urban governance, especially in the vital role of local governments in urban economy, and (2) the formation and extension of formal models in sociology, and the evolvement of methodology in sociology, especially the development of methodology in the history of Chinese sociology.
