Zhang Huxiang has a Ph.D. in Sociology. His research fields are: Community Governance; China’s Social Governance Analysis; Market and Industrial Research; Sociology of Organization and Economic Sociology. ZHANG has published over 10 books (including co-authored ones) and over 10 papers in recent years, (including “The Institutional Evolution of Jie-Ju System and its Practical Logic”, and “Analysis of Social Governance: A Pluralism Concept”. He has received several research awards, including the Second Prize and the Third Prize of Shanghai Municipal Award for Deng Xiaoping Theory Research and Publicity. He is a member of the Shanghai Legal Governance Association, the Shanghai Community Development Research Association, and the Shanghai Sociological Association.
