Graduated with a Master’s degree in Education and a Ph.D. in Sociology respectively from University of Oslo and Fudan University, Zhu Yan mainly focuses on social stratification, and economic sociology. Specifically, she’s been working on two broader areas for years: social stratification and social attitude in transitional states, and institutional bases for corporate governance and employment relations. She has a wide publication on political efficacy, distributive justice and voting behavior in transitional states, inter- and intra-enterprises relations, work incentive structure in state socialist period, employees’ organizational commitment and “embeddedness”. Some works have been translated into English, Russian and Japanese for a wider international readership.
