          Liu Wenrong received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Shanghai University in 2012. Her main study fields focus on marriage and family, intergenerational relationships and family support. She has been a short-term visiting scholar  in the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (February-July, 2014). Since 2014, she has been serving as a council member for the Chinese Society for Marriage and Family Studies. And she has also acted as a standing council member for the Family Sociological Committee under the Chinese Sociological Association. She has four times (2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011)been a winner of the First-Class Excellent Paper Award by the Shanghai Social Science Association . She has published widely on family values, intergenerational support and solidarity.
